Danny Dolev is a well respected yoga teacher from Sydney’s inner west. Danny is well known for her extensive anatomical knowledge and creative approach to her classes. Although dance and qigong are a constant inspiration with her teachings, Danny emphasises the functional support of a yoga practice and encourages students to develop an understanding of their own body. Danny’s endless passion for breath work and its transformative capacity adds another layer to her classes.

Danny completed her yoga teacher training with Simon Borg-Olivier and Bianca Machlis in 2000. She has achieved all three levels of the hypopressive breath coaching along with the advanced breathology course run by Stig Severinsen. This enhanced her her pranayama practice - the yoga practise of breath control and allowed Danny to explore a different approach to breath work. Today Danny teaches breathing exercises that are accessible and affective for many health benefits and emotional balance. After many years of attending various qigong and tai chi classes with different teachers Danny found Mimi Kuo-Deemer, a wise and embracing instructor. In 2021 Danny took inspiration from her and completed “Qigong for Yoga Teachers: An Immersion with Mimi Kuo-Deemer”.

Danny has taught in various yoga schools, health clubs and gyms, in retirement villages and pre-schools. Over the years Danny has taught private lessons to musicians, professional athletes and individuals seeking relaxation, rehabilitation, body awareness.

YOGA BREATH EBB

The genuine, unique, and organic evolution of Danny’s teachings lead to the creation of Yoga Breath Ebb. Her own small and intimate classes allow Danny to connect to each individual in this space. Danny has over 25 years of teaching experience. This is evident in her skilful instructions and intuitive response to each student’s needs whilst seamlessly leading them through an intricate sequence. Danny emphasises the transitions between postures and educates students on refining and instilling healthy movement patterns and alignment. Yoga Breath Ebb is a rare and special studio where the students feel free to interact, laugh and learn with each other. Danny places value on light-heartedness, inner ease and working with what is available to the student in the present moment.

Danny is married with two beautiful children.

Yofy and Tal are her greatest teachers so far.

Yoga Breath Ebb adopts a platypus

The changing climate, new dams, the over-extraction of water from rivers, land clearing, attacks by foxes and dogs, pollution and suburban sprawl present serious threats to platypus.

The platypus is facing a silent extinction.

Adopting a platypus helps research and monitor their populations across eastern states and implement a unique rewilding program to reintroduce healthy platypus back into areas where they once thrived.

Money straight from Yoga Breath Ebb classes goes to supporting conservation and animal advocacy, ensuring our amazing platypus remains in our local ecosystems forever.
